Medical research  supports the negative clinical impacts on an individual’s health when  isolated and without social interactions. Waveny LifeCare Network has always addressed these issues in an active and compassionate way through its  therapeutic recreation, structured activities, and Pastoral Care  services. In this new norm, these programs have become increasingly  vital to the health of seniors in our community.

The scope of these  programs continue to expand in light of the viral pandemic to meet those  increased needs. While Waveny employs a fulltime Director of Spiritual Services—Reverend Tom Lilly, families and residents alike would benefit from  the expansion of spiritual services.

We have been blessed  to have had – pre-COVID, several local clergy to assist us in our Wednesday  and Sunday services. The Reverend Derrick Fallon, of St Michael’s Lutheran Church, New Canaan has been one of those supporters and based upon  our staff’s feedback, we have asked him to join our Waveny team on a more  formal, employed, part-time basis in addition to his responsibilities at St  Michael’s. We are overjoyed that he has agreed to join our community outreach  team. This will enhance our ability to respond to our residents’,  patients’, and their family’s; as well as, our staff’s emotional needs.

We are thrilled that  Derrick who is a longtime friend of our Waveny family, has agreed to join our  team. We know that he will be a continued blessing to our residents, their families, and our staff. Welcome.
