To Our Family Members of the Waveny LifeCare Network Village, Care Center and Inn:

As we continue to provide you with timely and transparent communications, please find our Daily Update on Waveny's patient, resident and employee status related to the COVID-19 pandemic below:

• Waveny Village: The total number of COVID-19 positive cases for the Village rose to 12 from 11 since yesterday. Sadly one of our female residents in hospice succumbed to the virus at the Village today bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths from the Village to four. Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with her family during this exceedingly difficult time. No further residents have been hospitalized since yesterday,  nor any additional direct care staff declared positive with the virus. Two nurses are still recovering at home. All of our residents remain in isolation and are cared for in their individual rooms.

• Waveny Care Center: There has been no change in the number of cases originating from the Care Center, nor any additions to the number of deaths which remains at one. We are awaiting test results for one nurse and two patients, who are resting comfortably and are in isolation.

• Waveny Inn: There have been no positive cases for residents or staff at the Inn.

Today, we received reports that two of our employees - one from the Finance and another from the Facilities departments - have tested positive for COVID-19. They are recuperating in isolation at home or other living facilities.

We greatly appreciate your understanding that communications from healthcare providers and clinical partners are fluid and subject to frequent changes.

Please continue to reach out to your nursing supervisor for specific medical details on your family member. Our written  communications will continue daily.
