Waveny LifeCare Network COVID-19 Daily Update

for Residents, Patients, and Families

Our primary mission is to help promote our community’s optimal health, and we have redoubled efforts to provide rigorous clinical support for our Patients’ and Residents’ ongoing wellness and recovery. Our work is more rewarding because of those in our community who in many ways provide creative, heartfelt support to enhance the Waveny organization’s quality of life. We thank you for your ongoing understanding and engagement.

Quality clinical interventions depend on our highly trained and inspired nursing team’s ability to deliver them. So, with National Nurses Week approaching soon (May 6th - May 12th), it seems fitting to recognize their contribution to our community.

From routinely making life-altering care decisions for multiple residents and patients, to performing a flurry of vital tasks with great precision, they have to be the coolest of heads in the room. Waveny LifeCare Network nurses continue to provide compassionate care while feeling the tremendous pressure of the unfolding COVID -19 situation, often at the risk of their own safety.

The Waveny we know today wouldn’t be possible without our clinical team’s unwavering dedication each and every day. In today’s update, we honor our nurses’ commitment to their profession, our organization, families and community.

Our leadership team continues to work in close coordination with local hospitals, public health authorities, clinicians and other key stakeholders. We continue to practice maximum safety measures for best possible outcomes. Through this challenging period, we greatly appreciate the tremendous cooperation being displayed by all parties to protect the health and safety of our Residents, Patients
and Caregivers.

Please continue to keep each other in your thoughts and prayers, and know that every day, we are working as diligently as possible to earn your continued patience and support. Your feedback has been constructive and is greatly appreciated.

Your nursing supervisor will have specific medical details on your family member. Please continue to reach out to them on clinical issues and to me on non-clinical issues. Our entire community is most grateful.
