Waveny LifeCare Network COVID-19 Daily Update
for Residents, Patients, and Families

Thank you to our families that participated on Mother’s Day. It meant a lot to our residents and our staff.

Our testing protocols continue into a new phase from robust nasopharyngeal (PCR) to serum Immunoglobulin G (IgG) testing to determine the level of antibodies being created and each patient’s ability to fight COVID-19. We want to reassure our families that regardless of the ebbs and flows of daily reporting, whether from multiple information channels or our own documentation, our team at Waveny LifeCare Network is singularly focused on one thing: minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in our community and the relentless fight in protecting the health, safety and peace of mind of our residents, patients and families. Thank you for your ongoing feedback, engagement and support.

As mentioned, we have and will continue testing and re-testing of our Residents and Patients to fine-tune individual care and recovery interventions. We are now moving into the employee testing phase for asymptomatic staff, to further reinforce our daily screening protocols.

Your nursing supervisor will have specific medical details on your family member. Please continue to reach out to them on clinical issues, and to me on non-clinical issues or questions.
