Waveny LifeCare Network COVID-19 Daily Update
for Residents, Patients, and Families

Governor Lamont’s Reopen Connecticut program focused on economic and educational recovery from the impact of COVID-19 officially begins this Wednesday, May 20th.  For any plan to be truly successful long-term, testing must not only continue but be enhanced in the surrounding community at-large. While Waveny LifeCare Network’s ongoing pandemic countermeasures will continue through rigorous PCR testing of our asymptomatic Employee base - we will also remain diligent and continue applying maximum focus to improve all aspects of how we enhance Patient and Resident well-being, health, recuperation and quality of life.

It is also our expectation that governmental agencies will continue to develop the means to analyze case- and mortality-rates to distinguish between citizens who have succumbed from COVID-19 versus those that passed with the disease. It is a major distinction requiring more detailed discussions. Waveny continues to provide that information, analyzes research and current outcomes against protocols – to remain at the forefront of timely diagnosis and treatment coupled with its steadfast commitment to prevention to protect some of our community’s most frail and high-risk residents.

Waveny’s aggregate data can be found at: waveny.org/daily-statistics

The Village
There are no status changes to report for our Residents, they continue to rest comfortably under continued close observation.

Care Center

There are no Patient status changes to report today.

The Inn
The Inn continues to have no positive cases of COVID-19.

Waveny Home Care

No changes to report related to Home Care division clients.  The Home Care Division will continue to assist local hospitals and healthcare providers in the home recuperation of their patients and residents. While these patients either originated from the community or directly from the hospital, it is highly likely that Waveny’s Home Care division will begin to see and thus report increased COVID-19 clients.

Below is Today’s Daily Update, which reflects only the changes from yesterday’s information as it relates to the COVID-19 virus and Waveny’s patients, residents and caregiver status.

Your nursing supervisor will have specific medical details on your family member. Please continue to reach out to them on clinical issues, and to me on non-clinical issues or questions.
