Waveny LifeCare Network COVID-19 Daily Update

for Residents, Patients, and Families

According to the National Council on Aging, about 80% of older adults have at least one chronic disease, and 68% have at least two. Clearly our seniors can be especially susceptible to COVID-19 exposure due to particular comorbidities like diabetes, heart disease and lung disease, which the CDC, Connecticut DPH and leading researchers say predisposes them to greater risk.

Our risk mitigation efforts have been focused on maximizing the quality and scalability of testing, diagnostic and care interventions, Patient and Resident Care Plan optimization, and immune system support, which we base on rigorous, evidence-based science geared to help us exceed CDC and DPH operational standards.

We remain committed to seeing all of those inflicted convert COVID-19 test results from positive to negative as we continue clinical efforts on preventive care and recovery measures -emphasizing those that have shown promising results, and accelerate development of predictive analytics, to help us reduce future exposure probabilities.

In observance of the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday, we will not issue a Daily Update on Monday, but shall otherwise continue uninterrupted.
