Waveny LifeCare Network COVID-19 Daily Update
for Residents, Patients, and Families

Today, we finished our second round of Employee nasopharyngeal swab (PCR) swab testing, now having tested in excess of 250 asymptomatic staff members. We continue to take vigorous Employee preventive measures including vital sign screening prior to each shift, sending any staff member home to await test results if they show symptoms of illness, and mandating the strict use of Personal Protective Equipment by all Village Memory Care, Care Center, Inn, and Home Care staff.

We are awaiting several PCR retest results and have tested several new admissions into the Care Center who shall remain quarantined.

Thank you for remaining safe and continuing to practice social isolation and distancing to help our community mitigate COVID-19 virus spread risk, and for supporting our teams. We will continue to do our very best each and every day to support our Residents’ and Patients care, recovery and optimal wellness.

As we continue our Patient and Resident retesting protocols, we will be consistently reporting those test results in coordination with our CDC and Connecticut DPH guidelines, and under the direction of our Medical Director. Your ongoing feedback and engagement is most welcome and greatly appreciated.
