Waveny LifeCare Network COVID-19 Daily Update
for Residents, Patients, and Families

As the nation’s health authorities, epidemiologists and policy-makers attempt to ascertain the COVID-19 virus’ biological properties, metabolic impact and trajectory across regional areas, we at Waveny LifeCare Network continue to be relentlessly committed to implementing the most informed and qualified preventive, clinical care, recovery, testing and re-testing best practices possible.

Forecasts abound as to the timing of the contagion’s potential “curve flattening” or resurgence, and what we can expect regarding clinical treatment and containment measures, or social self-regulation practices.

Regardless of what the future holds, we continue to be hyper-focused on factors we can control, including:

1.      Ensuring we have the best trained, most capable and prepared staff to support each of our Residents’ and Patients’ care and recovery needs given their disproportionate vulnerability to COVID-19, arising from underlying co-morbidities;
2.      Thoroughly applying clinical best practices and CDC, Connecticut DPH and local health authority preventive, care, hygiene and testing protocols;
3.      Responsively communicating our actions to our families as we move forward within our rapidly changing operating environment.
